About the Affordable Designs ROBERT

The Affordable Designs ROBERT is a full rim frame with spring hinges. The unisex design works for both men and women.

This frame comes in two sizes: 54-16-140 and 56-16-145. The lens width of 54mm to 56mm is wide, while the 16mm bridge is average for frames with this lens width. To compare with your current glasses, check the three numbers printed on the inside of the temple.

Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.

Frequently asked questions

Which size should I choose, 54 or 56?

Check the first number on the temple of your current glasses. If it is 53–55 mm take the 54; if it is 55–57 mm take the 56.

Is the ROBERT good for progressive lenses?

Yes. Progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses can be made in this frame. If you would like us to confirm the fit for your prescription, contact us before you order.

What are spring hinges?

A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
