About the Smart S2887

The Smart S2887 is a full rim unisex frame with spring hinges. The spring hinges allow the temples to flex outward for easier wear and a more forgiving fit.

This frame measures 51-20-143 (lens width 51mm, bridge 20mm, temple 143mm). The 51mm lens width falls on the narrow side of regular, while the 20mm bridge is wide for this lens width, meaning the frame sits wider across the nose than many glasses with similar-sized lenses. To compare with your current glasses, check the numbers printed on the inside of the temple.

Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.

Frequently asked questions

Which size is the S2887?

It comes in one size, 51-20-143. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 49–53 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.

Is the S2887 good for progressive lenses?

Yes. Progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses can be made in this frame. If you would like us to confirm the fit for your prescription, contact us before you order.

What are spring hinges?

A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
