About the Ray-Ban RB8797
The Ray-Ban RB8797 is a women's square frame with full rims and regular hinges. The square shape works well for those with round or oval faces, providing angular contrast.
This frame comes in two sizes: 56-17-145 with a 42mm lens height, and 58-17-145 with a 44mm lens height. The lens width of 56mm to 58mm is wide, while the 17mm bridge is average for frames of this lens width. To compare with your current glasses, check the three numbers printed on the inside of the temple.

Which size should I choose, 56 or 58?
Check the first number on the temple of your current glasses. If it is 55–57 mm take the 56; if it is 57–59 mm take the 58.
Is the RB8797 good for progressive lenses?
The lens height is 42 mm in the 56 and 44 mm in the 58. That is deep, so there is plenty of room for progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses.
What is the difference between RX8797 and RB8797?
Nothing in the frame. One is the engraved code and the other is Luxottica's catalogue code for the prescription version. We list both so it matches your optician's paperwork.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:

The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
