About the Konishi KA5878
The Konishi KA5878 is a cat eye frame made from plastic acetate in a full rim design. This women's style features spring hinges for flexibility and comfort. The cat eye shape suits those who prefer a vintage-inspired, feminine look.
This frame comes in one size: 53mm lens width, 17mm bridge width, and 143mm temple length, with a lens height of 44mm. The 53mm lens width provides a regular fit, while the 17mm bridge is average for this lens width. To compare with glasses you already own, check the numbers printed on the inside of the temple arm.
Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.
Frequently asked questions
Which size is the KA5878?
It comes in one size, 53-17-143. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 51–55 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.
Is the KA5878 good for progressive lenses?
The lens height is 44 mm. That is deep, so there is plenty of room for progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses.
What are spring hinges?
A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:
LENSWIDTH (A)—
BRIDGEWIDTH (DBL)—
TEMPLELENGTH—
LENSHEIGHT (B)—
The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
