About the Prada Linea Rossa PS 51SV

The Prada Linea Rossa PS 51SV is a men's semi-rimless metal frame with a pillow-shaped lens. A thin metal rim holds the top of each lens and the lower edge is left open, which keeps the frame light and the view clear. Linea Rossa is Prada's sport-inspired line.

It comes in 54-18-145 (lens height 36 mm) and 56-18-145 (37 mm). Colors: Black, Silver, Gunmetal, Rubbered Black and Matte Blue.

Which size should I choose, 54 or 56?

Check the first number on the temple of your current glasses. If it is 53–55 mm take the 54; if it is 55–57 mm take the 56. Both have an 18 mm bridge and 145 mm temples.

Is the PS 51SV good for progressive lenses?

Yes. A lens height of 36–37 mm is above the roughly 30 mm that labs ask for, so distance, intermediate and reading zones all fit.

What does semi-rimless mean?

A metal rim holds the top of the lens and a fine cord holds the bottom edge, so the frame looks lighter than a full-rim style.
