The Jill Stuart JS478 is a cat eye frame made from a combination of acetate plastic and stainless steel in a full rim design. This women's style suits those who prefer the distinctive upswept shape of a cat eye frame.
This frame comes in one size: 57-18-145, with a lens height of 47 mm. The 57 mm lens width is wide, while the 18 mm bridge is average for this lens width, and the 145 mm temples are standard length. Is the JS478 good for progressive lenses?
The lens height is 47 mm. That is deep, so there is plenty of room for progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses.
What are spring hinges?
A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:

The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
