About the Flexon E1172
The Flexon E1172 is a semi-rimless rectangle frame made from Flexon metal. This men's style features a rectangular lens shape with metal construction across the top portion of each lens.
This frame comes in one size: 54-19-140, with a lens height of 36mm. The 54mm lens width provides a regular fit, while the 19mm bridge is average for this lens width. To compare with glasses you already own, check the three numbers printed on the inside of your temple—these measurements will be similar if your current frames fit comparably.
Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.
Frequently asked questions
Which size is the E1172?
It comes in one size, 54-19-140. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 52–56 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.
Is the E1172 good for progressive lenses?
The lens height is 36 mm. That works with progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses.
What does semi-rimless mean?
A metal rim holds the top of the lens and a fine cord holds the bottom edge, so the frame looks lighter than a full-rim style.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:
LENSWIDTH (A)—
BRIDGEWIDTH (DBL)—
TEMPLELENGTH—
LENSHEIGHT (B)—
The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
