About the Nautica N8199
The Nautica N8199 is a men's rectangular frame made from plastic with a full rim construction. Spring hinges provide flexibility and durability. The rectangular shape works well for those with round or oval face shapes.
This frame comes in one size: 54-16-145, with a lens height of 33 mm. The 54 mm lens width is a regular fit, and the 16 mm bridge is average for this lens width. To compare with glasses you already own, check the three numbers printed on the inside of the temple—these measurements will tell you how this frame differs from your current pair.
Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.
Frequently asked questions
Which size is the N8199?
It comes in one size, 54-16-145. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 52–56 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.
Is the N8199 good for progressive lenses?
The lens height is 33 mm. That works with progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses.
What are spring hinges?
A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:
LENSWIDTH (A)—
BRIDGEWIDTH (DBL)—
TEMPLELENGTH—
LENSHEIGHT (B)—
The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
