About the 4U U219
The 4U U219 is a cat eye frame made from plastic with a full rim design and regular hinges. This women's frame offers the distinctive upswept corners characteristic of the cat eye shape.
This frame comes in one size: 52-16-145, with a lens height of 42mm. The 52mm lens width falls on the narrow side of regular, while the 16mm bridge is average for this lens width and the 145mm temples are standard length. To compare with glasses you already own, check the three numbers printed on the inside of the temple arm.
Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.
Frequently asked questions
Which size is the U219?
It comes in one size, 52-16-145. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 50–54 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.
Is the U219 good for progressive lenses?
The lens height is 42 mm. That is deep, so there is plenty of room for progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses.
What colors does the U219 come in?
It is offered in 3 colors; the product page shows which are available now.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:
LENSWIDTH (A)—
BRIDGEWIDTH (DBL)—
TEMPLELENGTH—
LENSHEIGHT (B)—
The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
