About the Ray-Ban RB5456
The Ray-Ban RB5456 is a square-shaped frame made from acetate plastic with a full rim design. The square shape works well for those with round or oval face shapes, providing angular contrast. These are unisex frames with regular hinges.
This frame comes in two sizes: 54-18-145 with a lens height of 48mm, and 56-18-145 with a lens height of 50mm. The lens width of 54mm to 56mm is wide, while the 18mm bridge is average for frames of this lens width, and the 145mm temples are standard length. To compare with glasses you already own, check the three numbers printed on the inside of your temple arm.

Which size should I choose, 54 or 56?
Check the first number on the temple of your current glasses. If it is 53–55 mm take the 54; if it is 55–57 mm take the 56.
Is the RB5456 good for progressive lenses?
The lens height is 48 mm in the 54 and 50 mm in the 56. That is deep, so there is plenty of room for progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses.
What is the difference between RX5456 and RB5456?
Nothing in the frame. One is the engraved code and the other is Luxottica's catalogue code for the prescription version. We list both so it matches your optician's paperwork.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:

The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
