About the Ray-Ban RY1617D
The Ray-Ban RY1617D features a pillow-shaped front in injected material with full rims. This unisex frame works for those seeking a rounded frame shape with complete lens coverage.
Available in two sizes: 47-16-140 with a 32mm lens height, and 49-16-140 with a 34mm lens height. The lens width of 47mm to 49mm falls on the narrow side of regular, while the 16mm bridge is average for frames in this lens width range. To compare with your current glasses, check the three numbers printed on the inside of the temple.

Check the first number on the temple of your current glasses. If it is 46–48 mm take the 47; if it is 48–50 mm take the 49.
Is the RY1617D good for progressive lenses?
The lens height is 32 mm in the 47 and 34 mm in the 49. That works with progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses.

If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:

The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
