About the Ray-Ban RY1905
The Ray-Ban RY1905 is a full-rim phantos frame made from injected material. This unisex style works for anyone who prefers the rounded phantos shape.
This frame comes in two sizes: 42-15-125 with a 36mm lens height, and 44-15-125 with a 38mm lens height. The lens width of 42mm to 44mm is narrow, and the 15mm bridge is narrow for this lens width, so this frame suits people with smaller faces and closer-set eyes. The 125mm temples are short compared to standard glasses, which typically have temples around 135mm to 145mm.
Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses. Ray-Ban case included; one-year warranty against manufacturer's defects.
Frequently asked questions
Which size should I choose, 42 or 44?
Check the first number on the temple of your current glasses. If it is 41–43 mm take the 42; if it is 43–45 mm take the 44.
Is the RY1905 good for progressive lenses?
The lens height is 36 mm in the 42 and 38 mm in the 44. That works with progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses.
What colors does the RY1905 come in?
It is offered in 7 colors; the product page shows which are available now.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:
LENSWIDTH (A)—
BRIDGEWIDTH (DBL)—
TEMPLELENGTH—
LENSHEIGHT (B)—
The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
