About the Smart S2883
The Smart S2883 is a plastic frame designed for women and features spring hinges for flexibility and durability. The plastic construction provides a lightweight feel for daily wear.
This frame measures 52-16-145 mm (lens width-bridge-temple length) with a lens height of 44 mm. The 52 mm lens width falls on the narrow side of regular, and the 16 mm bridge is average for this lens width, meaning this frame will fit similarly to other glasses you own with comparable measurements. The temple length is standard at 145 mm.
Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.
Frequently asked questions
Which size is the S2883?
It comes in one size, 52-16-145. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 50–54 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.
Is the S2883 good for progressive lenses?
The lens height is 44 mm. That is deep, so there is plenty of room for progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses.
What are spring hinges?
A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:
LENSWIDTH (A)—
BRIDGEWIDTH (DBL)—
TEMPLELENGTH—
LENSHEIGHT (B)—
The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
