About the Smart S2889
The Smart S2889 is a women's plastic frame with spring hinges. The spring hinge construction allows the temples to flex outward for additional comfort and durability.
This frame comes in one size: 54-17-142 mm with a lens height of 44 mm. The 54 mm lens width is a regular fit, and the 17 mm bridge is average for this lens width. To compare with glasses you already own, check the numbers printed on the inside of the temple—if they're close to these measurements, the fit will be similar.
Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.
Frequently asked questions
Which size is the S2889?
It comes in one size, 54-17-142. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 52–56 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.
Is the S2889 good for progressive lenses?
The lens height is 44 mm. That is deep, so there is plenty of room for progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses.
What are spring hinges?
A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:
LENSWIDTH (A)—
BRIDGEWIDTH (DBL)—
TEMPLELENGTH—
LENSHEIGHT (B)—
The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
