About the Smart S7440
The Smart S7440 is a men's metal frame made from stainless steel with spring hinges. The stainless steel construction provides durability, while the spring hinges allow the temples to flex outward for improved comfort and fit.
This frame measures 58-20-140 mm (lens width-bridge-temple) with a lens height of 45 mm. The 58 mm lens width is wide, and the 20 mm bridge is wide for this lens width, meaning this frame works for faces that need more coverage and a wider nose fit. To compare with glasses you already own, check the numbers printed on the inside of the temple—these measurements will be similar if your current frames measure close to 58-20-140 mm.
Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.
Frequently asked questions
Which size is the S7440?
It comes in one size, 58-20-140. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 56–60 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.
Is the S7440 good for progressive lenses?
The lens height is 45 mm. That is deep, so there is plenty of room for progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses.
What are spring hinges?
A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:
LENSWIDTH (A)—
BRIDGEWIDTH (DBL)—
TEMPLELENGTH—
LENSHEIGHT (B)—
The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
