About the Affordable Designs VAL
The Affordable Designs VAL is a unisex frame designed to work across different face shapes and style preferences. Its universal design makes it suitable for anyone seeking straightforward eyewear without gender-specific styling.
This frame measures 47-21-140 mm (lens width-bridge width-temple length). The 47 mm lens width is narrow, covering less horizontal space on your face than average frames, while the 21 mm bridge is wide for a frame of this lens size, sitting farther out on the nose. To compare with glasses you currently own, check the numbers printed on the inside of the temple—these measurements will show you how the VAL differs in size.

It comes in one size, 47-21-140. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 45–49 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.
Is the VAL good for progressive lenses?
Yes. Progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses can be made in this frame. If you would like us to confirm the fit for your prescription, contact us before you order.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:

The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
