About the STEVE MADDEN BONIITA
The STEVE MADDEN BONIITA is a full rim acetate frame designed for kids, equipped with spring hinges for flexibility and durability. The acetate construction provides a lightweight feel suitable for younger wearers.
This frame comes in one size: 47-16-125 mm with a lens height of 33 mm. The 47 mm lens width is narrow, and the 16 mm bridge is average for this lens width, while the 125 mm temples are short. To compare with glasses you already own, check the three numbers printed on the inside of the temple arm.
Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.
Frequently asked questions
Which size is the BONIITA?
It comes in one size, 47-16-125. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 45–49 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.
Is the BONIITA good for progressive lenses?
The lens height is 33 mm. That works with progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses.
What are spring hinges?
A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:
LENSWIDTH (A)—
BRIDGEWIDTH (DBL)—
TEMPLELENGTH—
LENSHEIGHT (B)—
The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
