About the STEVE MADDEN KALKIN

The STEVE MADDEN KALKIN is a full rim acetate frame designed for kids. It includes spring hinges for added flexibility and durability.

This frame comes in two sizes: 50-15-140 with a lens height of 38mm, and 52-15-140 with a lens height of 38mm. The lens width of 50mm to 52mm falls on the narrow side of regular, while the 15mm bridge is narrow for this lens width, meaning it sits closer on the nose than many frames with similar lens sizes. Compare these measurements to glasses that currently fit well to determine your best size.

Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.

Frequently asked questions

Which size should I choose, 50 or 52?

Check the first number on the temple of your current glasses. If it is 49–51 mm take the 50; if it is 51–53 mm take the 52.

Is the KALKIN good for progressive lenses?

The lens height is 38 mm. That works with progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses.

What are spring hinges?

A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
