The STEVE MADDEN TANNER is a full rim acetate frame designed for kids. Spring hinges allow the temples to flex outward for durability and comfort during active wear.

This frame comes in two sizes: 48-18-140 and 50-18-140, both with a lens height of 40 mm. The lens width of 48mm to 50mm falls on the narrow side of regular, while the 18mm bridge is average for this lens width. If your child's current glasses have similar measurements, these should fit comparably.

Which size should I choose, 48 or 50?

Check the first number on the temple of your current glasses. If it is 47–49 mm take the 48; if it is 49–51 mm take the 50.

Is the TANNER good for progressive lenses?

The lens height is 40 mm. That is deep, so there is plenty of room for progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses.

What are spring hinges?

A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
