About the Bocci Eyewear 229

The Bocci Eyewear 229 is a full rim plastic frame designed for men. Spring hinges provide flexibility at the temples for improved comfort and durability.

This frame measures 48-18-140 (lens width 48mm, bridge 18mm, temple 140mm). The 48mm lens width is narrow, suitable for smaller faces, while the 18mm bridge is average for this lens size and the 140mm temple length is standard. To determine fit, compare these measurements to a pair of glasses that currently fits you well.

Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.

Frequently asked questions

Which size is the 229?

It comes in one size, 48-18-140. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 46–50 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.

Is the 229 good for progressive lenses?

Yes. Progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses can be made in this frame. If you would like us to confirm the fit for your prescription, contact us before you order.

What are spring hinges?

A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
