About the Bocci Eyewear 231
The Bocci Eyewear 231 is a full rim plastic frame designed for women. The frame includes spring hinges, which allow the temples to flex outward for additional comfort and durability.
This frame comes in two sizes: 50-17-135 and 52-17-140, where the numbers indicate lens width, bridge width, and temple length in millimeters. The lens width of 50mm to 52mm falls on the narrow side of regular, while the 17mm bridge is average for frames with this lens width. To compare with glasses you already own, check the numbers printed on the inside of the temple—these measurements will be similar if you typically wear narrow to regular width frames with average bridges.

Which size should I choose, 50 or 52?
Check the first number on the temple of your current glasses. If it is 49–51 mm take the 50; if it is 51–53 mm take the 52.
Is the 231 good for progressive lenses?
Yes. Progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses can be made in this frame. If you would like us to confirm the fit for your prescription, contact us before you order.
What are spring hinges?
A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:

The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
