About the CHISEL
The CHISEL is a full rim rectangle frame designed for men. The rectangle shape provides structured, angular lines that complement round or oval face shapes, while spring hinges offer flexible, comfortable wear.
This frame measures 55-17-140: a 55mm lens width (regular fit), 17mm bridge (average for this lens width), and 140mm temples (standard length). The 55mm lens width provides a medium coverage suitable for most face sizes, while the 17mm bridge sits at a typical distance for frames of this width. To compare with your current glasses, check the numbers printed on the inside of the temple arm.

Which size is the CHISEL?
It comes in one size, 55-17-140. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 53–57 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.
Is the CHISEL good for progressive lenses?
Yes. Progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses can be made in this frame. If you would like us to confirm the fit for your prescription, contact us before you order.
What are spring hinges?
A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:

The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
