About the CAT TACKER
The CAT TACKER is a semi-rimless rectangle frame made for men. The rectangular shape and semi-rimless construction create a streamlined appearance, with the top portion of the lens held by the frame while the bottom remains open.
This frame measures 56-17-145 mm (lens width-bridge-temple). The 56mm lens width is wide, providing substantial coverage, while the 17mm bridge is average for this lens width. To compare with your current glasses, check the numbers printed on the inside of the temple—these measurements will be similar if your glasses have a wide lens width with an average bridge.
Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.
Frequently asked questions
Which size is the TACKER?
It comes in one size, 56-17-145. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 54–58 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.
Is the TACKER good for progressive lenses?
Yes. Progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses can be made in this frame. If you would like us to confirm the fit for your prescription, contact us before you order.
What are spring hinges?
A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:
LENSWIDTH (A)—
BRIDGEWIDTH (DBL)—
TEMPLELENGTH—
LENSHEIGHT (B)—
The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
