About the VOLT
The VOLT is a full rim frame designed for men, featuring spring hinges that allow the temples to flex outward for added comfort and durability. The full rim construction provides complete lens support and a bold, substantial appearance.
This frame measures 56-18-121: a wide 56mm lens width, an average 18mm bridge for this lens size, and short 121mm temples. The wide lenses suit larger faces, while the average bridge provides standard nose fit. To compare with your current glasses, check the numbers printed on the inside of the temple—these measurements indicate a wider lens but shorter temple length than most standard frames.
Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.
Frequently asked questions
Which size is the VOLT?
It comes in one size, 56-18-121. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 54–58 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.
Is the VOLT good for progressive lenses?
Yes. Progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses can be made in this frame. If you would like us to confirm the fit for your prescription, contact us before you order.
What are spring hinges?
A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:
LENSWIDTH (A)—
BRIDGEWIDTH (DBL)—
TEMPLELENGTH—
LENSHEIGHT (B)—
The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
