About the 4U UP306
The 4U UP306 is a women's cat eye frame with a full rim design. The cat eye shape provides an upswept, angular look that suits those who prefer vintage-inspired styling. Spring hinges allow the temples to flex outward for additional comfort.
This frame measures 51-17-140 mm (lens width-bridge-temple). The 51 mm lens width falls on the narrow side of regular, making this frame best suited for small to medium faces. The 17 mm bridge is average for this lens width. To compare with glasses you already own, check the numbers printed on the inside of the temple—if your current frames are 50-52 mm in lens width, this will fit similarly.
Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.
Frequently asked questions
Which size is the UP306?
It comes in one size, 51-17-140. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 49–53 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.
Is the UP306 good for progressive lenses?
Yes. Progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses can be made in this frame. If you would like us to confirm the fit for your prescription, contact us before you order.
What are spring hinges?
A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:
LENSWIDTH (A)—
BRIDGEWIDTH (DBL)—
TEMPLELENGTH—
LENSHEIGHT (B)—
The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
