About the O'NEILL-STROM
The O'NEILL-STROM is a men's rectangular frame with a full rim design and spring hinges. The rectangular shape works well for those with round or oval faces.
This frame measures 56-17-145 mm (lens width-bridge-temple). The 56 mm lens width is wide, providing substantial coverage, while the 17 mm bridge is average for this lens width. To compare with your current glasses, check the numbers printed on the inside of the temple—these measurements will be similar if you typically wear wide frames.
Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.
Frequently asked questions
Which size is the O'NEILL-STROM?
It comes in one size, 56-17-145. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 54–58 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.
Is the O'NEILL-STROM good for progressive lenses?
Yes. Progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses can be made in this frame. If you would like us to confirm the fit for your prescription, contact us before you order.
What are spring hinges?
A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:
LENSWIDTH (A)—
BRIDGEWIDTH (DBL)—
TEMPLELENGTH—
LENSHEIGHT (B)—
The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
