About the Konishi KA5863
The Konishi KA5863 is a full rim frame designed for women, featuring spring hinges that allow the temples to flex outward for improved comfort and durability. The full rim construction provides complete support around the lenses.
This frame comes in one size: 52-19-145 (lens width-bridge-temple in millimeters). The 52mm lens width falls on the narrow side of regular, while the 19mm bridge is average for this lens width. To compare with glasses you already own, check the numbers printed on the inside of the temple—if your current frames are similar to 52-19, this frame should fit comparably.
Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.
Frequently asked questions
Which size is the KA5863?
It comes in one size, 52-19-145. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 50–54 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.
Is the KA5863 good for progressive lenses?
Yes. Progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses can be made in this frame. If you would like us to confirm the fit for your prescription, contact us before you order.
What are spring hinges?
A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:
LENSWIDTH (A)—
BRIDGEWIDTH (DBL)—
TEMPLELENGTH—
LENSHEIGHT (B)—
The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
