About the New Balance NBK165

The New Balance NBK165 is a full rim rectangular frame designed for kids. Spring hinges provide flexibility and durability for active wear.

This frame comes in one size: 49-16-135 (lens width 49mm, bridge 16mm, temple 135mm). The 49mm lens width is on the narrow side of regular, and the 16mm bridge is average for this lens width, while the 135mm temples are short. To compare with glasses you already own, check the three numbers printed on the inside of the temple arm.

Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.

Frequently asked questions

Which size is the NBK165?

It comes in one size, 49-16-135. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 47–51 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.

Is the NBK165 good for progressive lenses?

Yes. Progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses can be made in this frame. If you would like us to confirm the fit for your prescription, contact us before you order.

What are spring hinges?

A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
