About the 4U UP316
The 4U UP316 is a full rim women's frame fitted with spring hinges. The full rim construction provides complete lens enclosure, while the spring hinges allow the temples to flex outward beyond their resting position.
This frame measures 55-16-145: a 55mm lens width (regular fit), 16mm bridge (average for this lens width), and 145mm temples (standard length). The 55mm lens width suits those who wear regular-width frames, and the 16mm bridge provides average spacing between lenses. To compare with glasses you currently own, check the three numbers printed on the inside of the temple.

Which size is the UP316?
It comes in one size, 55-16-145. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 53–57 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.
Is the UP316 good for progressive lenses?
Yes. Progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses can be made in this frame. If you would like us to confirm the fit for your prescription, contact us before you order.
What are spring hinges?
A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:

The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
