About the 4U US117
The 4U US117 is a full rim unisex frame with spring hinges. The full rim construction encircles the lenses completely, and the spring hinges allow the temples to flex outward for additional comfort and durability.
This frame measures 46-18-130: a narrow 46mm lens width, an 18mm bridge (average for this lens width), and short 130mm temples. The narrow lens width will suit smaller faces, while the average bridge provides standard spacing between lenses. To compare with your current glasses, check the numbers printed on the inside of the temple—these measurements will be smaller in lens width and temple length than most standard frames.
Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.
Frequently asked questions
Which size is the US117?
It comes in one size, 46-18-130. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 44–48 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.
Is the US117 good for progressive lenses?
Yes. Progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses can be made in this frame. If you would like us to confirm the fit for your prescription, contact us before you order.
What are spring hinges?
A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:
LENSWIDTH (A)—
BRIDGEWIDTH (DBL)—
TEMPLELENGTH—
LENSHEIGHT (B)—
The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
