About the New Balance NB543
The New Balance NB543 is a full rim rectangular frame designed for men. The rectangle shape works well for those with round or oval face shapes, providing definition and structure. These are regular hinged frames built in a classic men's style.
This frame measures 57mm for lens width, 18mm for the bridge, and 145mm for the temples. The 57mm lens width is wide, offering substantial coverage, while the 18mm bridge is average for a lens this size. To compare with glasses you currently own, check the three numbers printed on the inside of the temple—these measurements will be similar if your existing frames are also sized 57-18-145.
Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.
Frequently asked questions
Which size is the NB543?
It comes in one size, 57-18-145. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 55–59 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.
Is the NB543 good for progressive lenses?
Yes. Progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses can be made in this frame. If you would like us to confirm the fit for your prescription, contact us before you order.
What colors does the NB543 come in?
It is offered in 3 colors; the product page shows which are available now.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:
LENSWIDTH (A)—
BRIDGEWIDTH (DBL)—
TEMPLELENGTH—
LENSHEIGHT (B)—
The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
