About the New Balance NBK170

The New Balance NBK170 is a full rim rectangular frame designed for kids. Spring hinges provide flexibility and durability for active wear.

This frame measures 47-16-130 mm (lens width, bridge width, temple length). The 47 mm lens width is narrow, suitable for smaller faces, while the 16 mm bridge is average for this lens size. The 130 mm temples are short; compare these measurements to glasses that currently fit well to determine if this frame will work.

Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.

Frequently asked questions

Which size is the NBK170?

It comes in one size, 47-16-130. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 45–49 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.

Is the NBK170 good for progressive lenses?

Yes. Progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses can be made in this frame. If you would like us to confirm the fit for your prescription, contact us before you order.

What are spring hinges?

A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
