About the Konishi KA5847
The Konishi KA5847 is a full rim frame designed for women, featuring spring hinges that allow the temples to flex outward for added comfort and durability. The full rim construction provides complete lens support and a defined look.
This frame measures 55-18-145: a 55mm lens width (regular fit), an 18mm bridge (average for this lens width), and 145mm temples (standard length). The 55mm lens width provides a regular fit suitable for many face sizes, while the 18mm bridge sits at an average width that works for typical nose proportions. Compare these measurements to your current glasses to determine if this frame will fit similarly.
Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.
Frequently asked questions
Which size is the KA5847?
It comes in one size, 55-18-145. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 53–57 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.
Is the KA5847 good for progressive lenses?
Yes. Progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses can be made in this frame. If you would like us to confirm the fit for your prescription, contact us before you order.
What are spring hinges?
A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:
LENSWIDTH (A)—
BRIDGEWIDTH (DBL)—
TEMPLELENGTH—
LENSHEIGHT (B)—
The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
