About the 3005
The 3005 eyeglasses feature a semi-rimless design made for women. The frame leaves the bottom portion of the lenses exposed, creating a lighter appearance than fully rimmed styles.
These glasses measure 53mm-18mm-140mm for the lens width, bridge width, and temple length. The 53mm lens width provides a regular fit, while the 18mm bridge is average for this lens size. To compare with your current glasses, check the numbers printed on the inside of the temple arm.
Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.
Frequently asked questions
Which size is the 3005?
It comes in one size, 53-18-140. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 51–55 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.
Is the 3005 good for progressive lenses?
Yes. Progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses can be made in this frame. If you would like us to confirm the fit for your prescription, contact us before you order.
What does semi-rimless mean?
A metal rim holds the top of the lens and a fine cord holds the bottom edge, so the frame looks lighter than a full-rim style.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:
LENSWIDTH (A)—
BRIDGEWIDTH (DBL)—
TEMPLELENGTH—
LENSHEIGHT (B)—
The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
