About the Capri UP 303
The Capri UP 303, from the 4U line, is a full-rim plastic frame in a medium size with spring hinges for a comfortable, flexible fit. It is a straightforward everyday frame at an accessible price.
It is offered in 51-20-145 (lens height 38.4 mm). The 20 mm bridge is on the wider side, so it sits comfortably on broader noses. The 38.4 mm lens height gives a good progressive corridor. Colors: Black, Blue and Crystal.
Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.
Frequently asked questions
What size is the Capri UP 303?
51 mm lens width, 20 mm bridge and 145 mm temples. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 50–52, this size will fit.
Can I get progressive lenses in the UP 303?
Yes. The lens height of 38.4 mm leaves a comfortable progressive corridor, and single vision and bifocal lenses fit easily.
What are spring hinges?
A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:
LENSWIDTH (A)—
BRIDGEWIDTH (DBL)—
TEMPLELENGTH—
LENSHEIGHT (B)—
The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
