About the 4U US78

The 4U US78 is a round plastic frame with a full rim design and spring hinges. This unisex style suits those who prefer classic round shapes.

Available in two sizes: 44-17-130 and 47-17-135. The lens width of 44mm to 47mm is narrow, and the 17mm bridge is average for this lens width. To compare with your current glasses, check the numbers printed on the inside of the temple arm.

Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.

Frequently asked questions

Which size should I choose, 44 or 47?

Check the first number on the temple of your current glasses. If it is 43–45 mm take the 44; if it is 46–48 mm take the 47.

Is the US78 good for progressive lenses?

Yes. Progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses can be made in this frame. If you would like us to confirm the fit for your prescription, contact us before you order.

What are spring hinges?

A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
