About the CAT 3503
The CAT 3503 features a rectangle shape with a semi-rimless design, where the frame partially outlines the lenses. This men's frame has regular hinges and works well for those who prefer a structured, professional look.
This frame comes in one size: 55-16-140, measured in millimeters for lens width, bridge width, and temple length. The 55mm lens width provides a regular fit, while the 16mm bridge is average for lenses of this width. To compare with glasses you currently own, check the numbers printed on the inside of the temple arm.
Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.
Frequently asked questions
Which size is the 3503?
It comes in one size, 55-16-140. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 53–57 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.
Is the 3503 good for progressive lenses?
Yes. Progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses can be made in this frame. If you would like us to confirm the fit for your prescription, contact us before you order.
What does semi-rimless mean?
A metal rim holds the top of the lens and a fine cord holds the bottom edge, so the frame looks lighter than a full-rim style.
I am 100% satisfied. I have purchased 6 pairs of glasses since 2019. The Duolux and Omnilux are something that you just can’t find anywhere else and are perfect. The Omnilux is the only multifocal where I get a decent midrange for computer work. The support, pricing and selection of frames is outstanding. I actually paid less for a pair of multifocals than I did for a pair of bifocals through my vision insurance.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:
LENSWIDTH (A)—
BRIDGEWIDTH (DBL)—
TEMPLELENGTH—
LENSHEIGHT (B)—
The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
