About the Fatheadz XL

The Fatheadz XL is a full rim rectangle frame designed for men. Spring hinges provide flexibility and durability during daily wear.

This frame measures 60-19-145 (lens width-bridge-temple in millimeters). The 60mm lens width is very wide, making this frame suitable for those who find standard glasses too narrow. The 19mm bridge is average for a lens this wide, and the 145mm temples are standard length—compare these numbers to the measurements printed on your current glasses to determine fit.

Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.

Frequently asked questions

Which size is the XL?

It comes in one size, 60-19-145. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 58–62 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.

Is the XL good for progressive lenses?

Yes. Progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses can be made in this frame. If you would like us to confirm the fit for your prescription, contact us before you order.

What are spring hinges?

A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
