About the IZOD 2089
The IZOD 2089 is a semi-rimless frame designed for men, featuring spring hinges that allow the temples to flex outward for increased comfort and durability. The semi-rimless construction reduces visual weight while maintaining structure across the top of the lenses.
This frame comes in one size: 52mm lens width, 18mm bridge width, and 140mm temple length. The 52mm lens width falls on the narrow side of regular, suitable for small to medium faces, while the 18mm bridge is average for this lens width. To compare with glasses you already own, check the numbers printed on the inside of the temple—if your current frames are 50-53mm in lens width, this will fit similarly.

Is the 2089 good for progressive lenses?

What are spring hinges?
A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:

The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
