About the New Balance NB556
The New Balance NB556 is a semi-rimless rectangle frame designed for men. The rectangular shape and semi-rimless construction create a streamlined appearance that suits those who prefer a lighter look with defined horizontal lines.
This frame measures 52-17-140mm (lens width-bridge-temple). The 52mm lens width falls on the narrow side of regular, making it appropriate for small to medium faces, while the 17mm bridge is average for this lens width. To compare with your current glasses, check the numbers printed on the inside of the temple—if your lens width is 50-53mm, this frame will fit similarly.

What does semi-rimless mean?
A metal rim holds the top of the lens and a fine cord holds the bottom edge, so the frame looks lighter than a full-rim style.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:

The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
