About the New Balance NBK154

The New Balance NBK154 is a full rim rectangular frame designed for kids, equipped with spring hinges for flexibility and durability. The rectangular shape provides a classic, structured look suitable for children's faces.

This frame measures 49-21-135 mm (lens width-bridge-temple). The 49 mm lens width falls on the narrow side of regular, while the 21 mm bridge is wide for this lens width, meaning the frame will sit farther from the face than other glasses with similar lens size. The 135 mm temples are short, appropriate for smaller heads.

Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.

Frequently asked questions

Which size is the NBK154?

It comes in one size, 49-21-135. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 47–51 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.

Is the NBK154 good for progressive lenses?

Yes. Progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses can be made in this frame. If you would like us to confirm the fit for your prescription, contact us before you order.

What are spring hinges?

A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
