About the O'NEILL-MALIBU
The O'NEILL-MALIBU is a full rim frame with spring hinges, designed as a unisex style. The full rim construction surrounds the lenses completely, while the spring hinges allow the temples to flex outward for additional comfort.
This frame comes in one size: 48-16-130, measured in millimeters for lens width, bridge width, and temple length. The 48mm lens width is narrow, suitable for smaller faces, and the 16mm bridge is average for this lens width. The 130mm temples are short, so if your current glasses have longer temples, these will sit closer to your ears.
Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.
Frequently asked questions
Which size is the O'NEILL-MALIBU?
It comes in one size, 48-16-130. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 46–50 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.
Is the O'NEILL-MALIBU good for progressive lenses?
Yes. Progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses can be made in this frame. If you would like us to confirm the fit for your prescription, contact us before you order.
What are spring hinges?
A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:
LENSWIDTH (A)—
BRIDGEWIDTH (DBL)—
TEMPLELENGTH—
LENSHEIGHT (B)—
The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
