About the Profiles 5
The Profiles 5 features a round shape in stainless steel with a full rim design. Spring hinges provide flexible wear. These women's frames suit those who prefer a classic round silhouette in metal.
Available in one size: 44-23-135, with a lens height of 35 mm. The 44 mm lens width is narrow, while the 23 mm bridge is wide for this lens width, and the 135 mm temples are short. If your current glasses have wider lenses, a narrower bridge, or longer temples, this frame will fit differently.
Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.
Frequently asked questions
Which size is the 5?
It comes in one size, 44-23-135. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 42–46 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.
Is the 5 good for progressive lenses?
The lens height is 35 mm. That works with progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses.
What are spring hinges?
A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
Prescription lens options for the Profiles 5
OmniLux® NAL®
– next-gen no-line multifocal lenses, exclusive to BestNewGlasses.com.
Single vision
– one prescription across the whole lens, for distance or reading.
Progressive
– a smooth change from distance to reading with no visible line.
iLux™
– adaptive multifocal lenses powered by NAL® technology, ordered like a progressive.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:
LENSWIDTH (A)—
BRIDGEWIDTH (DBL)—
TEMPLELENGTH—
LENSHEIGHT (B)—
The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
