About the Ray-Ban RB5429
The Ray-Ban RB5429 is a full rim oval frame designed for women. The oval shape works well for angular or square face shapes by adding softer curves.
This frame comes in two lens widths: 51mm and 53mm, both with a 20mm bridge and 145mm temples. The 51mm and 53mm lens widths provide a regular fit, while the 20mm bridge is wide for these lens sizes, sitting farther from your nose than most frames with similar lens widths. Compare these measurements to a pair you currently wear to determine which size will fit you best.
Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses. Ray-Ban case included; one-year warranty against manufacturer's defects.
Frequently asked questions
Which size should I choose, 51 or 53?
Check the first number on the temple of your current glasses. If it is 50–52 mm take the 51; if it is 52–54 mm take the 53.
Is the RB5429 good for progressive lenses?
The lens height is 40 mm in the 51 and 42 mm in the 53. That is deep, so there is plenty of room for progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses.
What is the difference between RX5429 and RB5429?
Nothing in the frame. One is the engraved code and the other is Luxottica's catalogue code for the prescription version. We list both so it matches your optician's paperwork.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:
LENSWIDTH (A)—
BRIDGEWIDTH (DBL)—
TEMPLELENGTH—
LENSHEIGHT (B)—
The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
