About the Ray-Ban RB5431
The Ray-Ban RB5431 is a square-shaped frame made from acetate plastic in a full-rim construction with regular hinges. This unisex frame suits those who prefer bold, angular eyewear with a structured look.
Available in two sizes: 54-18-140 with a 40mm lens height, and 56-18-145 with a 42mm lens height. The lens width of 54mm to 56mm is wide, while the 18mm bridge is average for frames of this lens width. To compare with your current glasses, check the numbers printed on the inside of the temple arm.
Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses. Ray-Ban case included; one-year warranty against manufacturer's defects.
Frequently asked questions
Which size should I choose, 54 or 56?
Check the first number on the temple of your current glasses. If it is 53–55 mm take the 54; if it is 55–57 mm take the 56.
Is the RB5431 good for progressive lenses?
The lens height is 40 mm in the 54 and 42 mm in the 56. That is deep, so there is plenty of room for progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses.
What is the difference between RX5431 and RB5431?
Nothing in the frame. One is the engraved code and the other is Luxottica's catalogue code for the prescription version. We list both so it matches your optician's paperwork.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:
LENSWIDTH (A)—
BRIDGEWIDTH (DBL)—
TEMPLELENGTH—
LENSHEIGHT (B)—
The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
