About the Ray-Ban RB8908
The Ray-Ban RB8908 is a full-rim rectangular frame made from nylon plastic. This unisex style works for wearers who prefer structured, angular frames.
Available in three sizes: 53-18-145 (lens height 39mm), 55-18-145 (lens height 40mm), and 57-18-150 (lens height 42mm). The lens widths from 53mm to 57mm are wide, while the 18mm bridge is average for frames of this lens width. To compare with your current glasses, check the three numbers printed on the inside of the temple.

Is the RB8908 good for progressive lenses?
The lens height is 39 mm in the 53, 40 mm in the 55 and 42 mm in the 57. That works with progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses.
What is the difference between RX8908 and RB8908?
Nothing in the frame. One is the engraved code and the other is Luxottica's catalogue code for the prescription version. We list both so it matches your optician's paperwork.

If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:

LENSHEIGHT (B)—
The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
