How the Ray-Ban RY1614D fits
At 49mm the lens width is on the narrow side of regular, suited to smaller adult faces or teens. The 15mm bridge is narrow for this lens width, sitting closer at the nose. Compared to typical 49mm frames with 17-19mm bridges, these fit tighter across the middle of the face.
The 38mm lens height suits progressive lenses without difficulty. There is adequate vertical space for the distance, intermediate, and near zones. Single-vision and bifocal prescriptions fit comfortably within this height.
The Ray-Ban RY1614D has a pillow shape in injected material with full rims. This rounded shape works for angular faces including square and rectangular, softening strong jawlines. It does not suit round or very wide faces, where it can emphasize width or appear undersized.
