About the Smart S2837
The Smart S2837 is a plastic frame designed for women. It features spring hinges that allow the temples to flex outward for additional comfort and durability.
This frame measures 51-19-140 mm (lens width-bridge-temple length), with a lens height of 41 mm. The 51 mm lens width falls on the narrow side of regular, while the 19 mm bridge is average for this lens size. To compare with your current glasses, check the numbers printed on the inside of the temple—these measurements will be similar if your frames are marked 51 or 52 mm for lens width.
Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.
Frequently asked questions
Which size is the S2837?
It comes in one size, 51-19-140. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 49–53 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.
Is the S2837 good for progressive lenses?
The lens height is 41 mm. That is deep, so there is plenty of room for progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses.
What are spring hinges?
A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:
LENSWIDTH (A)—
BRIDGEWIDTH (DBL)—
TEMPLELENGTH—
LENSHEIGHT (B)—
The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
