About the Smart S2871E
The Smart S2871E is a plastic frame with spring hinges for flexible wear. This unisex style works for adults seeking a durable everyday frame.
This frame comes in one size: 46-24-144, with a lens height of 39mm. The 46mm lens width is narrow, while the 24mm bridge is wide for this lens width. If your current glasses have a smaller lens width or narrower bridge, these will fit differently across your nose and face.
Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.
Frequently asked questions
Which size is the S2871E?
It comes in one size, 46-24-144. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 44–48 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.
Is the S2871E good for progressive lenses?
The lens height is 39 mm. That works with progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses.
What are spring hinges?
A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:
LENSWIDTH (A)—
BRIDGEWIDTH (DBL)—
TEMPLELENGTH—
LENSHEIGHT (B)—
The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
