About the Smilen Elite 4

The Smilen Elite 4 is a square-shaped men's frame made from acetate with a full rim construction. Spring hinges allow the temples to flex outward for added comfort and durability.

This frame measures 55-16-145 mm, with a lens height of 47 mm. The 55 mm lens width provides a regular fit, while the 16 mm bridge is average for this lens size. To compare with glasses you already own, check the numbers printed on the inside of the temple arm.

Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.

Frequently asked questions

Which size is the 4?

It comes in one size, 55-16-145. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 53–57 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.

Is the 4 good for progressive lenses?

The lens height is 47 mm. That is deep, so there is plenty of room for progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses.

What are spring hinges?

A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
